instagram inspiration: rachel parcell of pink peonies

Part of the fun of following people on Instagram are the sneaky little peeks into their humble (and sometimes not so humble) abodes – the really, really good ones never really give whole room reveals, instead styling glimpses here and there of a little niche and when it’s particularly good, it leaves you craving more!  Fashion blogger Rachel Parcell of Pink Peonies has been building her dream home and occasionally posts random progress shots and let me tell you, it’s good.  REALLY good.  While I’ve always been drawn to more masculine, tailored spaces, Rachel’s entire house is the epitome of feminine sophistication.  It’s light, airy and elegant without being too frilly or girly with lots of white, marble, unlacquered brass, soft texture and just the right amount of leopard for good measure.  Feast your eyes:

I don’t know about you, but all I can see is that AMAZING UNLACQUERED BRASS FAUCET!!!!

Tone-on-tone with a touch of bling in the kitchen:

So much to love in this dining nook, from the bleached table and fretwork chairs to that amazing lantern and linen wing back head chair.  Perfection.

An unexpected dose of soft gray/blue in an otherwise neutral space via this gorgeous wool rug:

A little peek into her closet, designed by Alice Lane Home.  I’m definitely anxiously awaiting the full reveal of this one:

Floor-to-ceiling tile in the bathroom:

A perfectly styled vignette and a glimpse of those amazing double doors in the foyer:

An iron orb chandelier brings a welcome pop of black in the neutral master:

Beautiful details:

Love the millwork and detailing on the kitchen cabinetry – and the herribone backs?  LOVELY.

Happy Weekend!

This home is stunning and I have tagged many of the pics for my design file for our upcoming remodel. To me its the perfect blend of traditional with modern touches to keep it fresh and just a bit French country. Lovely post.

Do you know where she got these lovely dining room chairs?

Elle – they are lovely, aren't they? I'm not sure where she found them, a lot of her stuff has come from Alice Lane Home, but I'm not sure about the chairs, I'm sorry!

She posted on her Instagram that she got the head (upholstered) chairs from Restoration Hardware and the side ones from a local place where she lives but I saw those same chairs on the Horchow website. 🙂 Hope it helps.
