I LOVE A POP OF CHRISTMAS RED

As much as I love decorating for Christmas with all the muted, natural and organic colors and textures, there’s just something about a little pop of Christmas red that brings it all together and makes it all feel so much more festive! I love to add a deep, rich red and because it’s so bold, compared to the rest of my decorations, a little bit really goes a long way at Christmas time. It also looks so beautiful paired with all shades of blue found around the rest of the house. My favorite ways to use it in my decor is with red grosgrain ribbon tied around myrtle topiary, a handful of fresh cranberries in pots of bulbs in place of moss and, of course, bows on wreaths.

Also worth noting, since I always get asked about my silver Empire salt and pepper shakers (I found mine at a consignment store years ago), I found a pair HERE for $22, which is a steal! They just need a little Wright’s Silver Cream and elbow grease for a little refresh.

Hope you’re all off to a great start with your Christmas decorating!
