HIGH SUMMER FAVORITES

This has been such a laid back, casual summer that we have all needed so badly; we’ve been living in the pool, reading lots of books, watching movies and just generally giving ourselves the time to be bored – a luxury we don’t always have during the school year. And while I typically don’t give myself enough of a chance to enjoy the month of August because I’m always sad to see the kiddos return to school again at the end of the month, the truth is, we have at least two, maybe three, more months of the season down here in the south, so we are still relying on and loving all our favorites for summer!

I’m rounding up a few favorites that I’ve been using on repeat all summer long below; click the links beneath to be directed to each individual product:

Brazilian Bum Bum Cream – My sister-in-law turned me on to this when she visited this summer and I couldn’t get enough of the scent!

Color Wow Dream Coat – Normally, I will let my naturally curly hair air dry but when I want a smoother look, this is the ONLY thing that will work for a blowout.

Cream bronzer – gives the most incredible glow and is super clean – an added bonus!

French wine glasses – I use these throughout the year for water and wine and this summer I also used them for cocktails by the pool for an elevated feel whenever we had guests (and also because I have yet to find acrylic ones I love).

Tortoise shell wide tooth combs – These are great to have in a pool tote for tangles, especially if we are away and want to hop from pool or beach to dinner or shopping. They look so much more expensive than their budget-friendly price tag!

Rattan food cover – so handy when having food of any kind near the pool or on the patio! Mine is super old, but this one is on sale and is a great size!

Rattan cocktail shaker – a festive accessory for summer cocktails!

Block print sarong – these are so light and airy and come in a bunch of beautiful colors!

Leather wrap sandals – I wore these all summer long and loved them so much, I also got them in black. They elevate shorts and a tank and look beautiful with summer dresses and are also super comfy!

L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara – my drugstore favorite that I’ve been using for years!

Quay sunnies – more than half off currently and such a great accessory for summer.

Land’s End tote – a must-have for all my kid’s stuff, I use this year round in my car, but this summer I got it in the large size and it’s been perfect for schlepping towels, goggles and all the snacks!

Archie’s thong sandal – the only flip flop I’ll ever wear again, these are super comfy, have great arch support and come in a bunch of different colors. I loved the black so much that I also ordered in taupe – well worth the price!
