high street market

There are quite a few big box retailers I source from regularly, as much for the variety as for the price point, but every project and home (even mine!) can benefit from more unique, one-of-a-kind decorative accessories that really add a personal touch to a space without breaking the bank.  An added bonus is when guests can’t pinpoint exactly where something came from; I don’t know about you, but that irks me to no end!  There are a handful of smaller online shops and boutiques with beautiful finds and the best part is that not only are they super affordable, but I end up supporting smaller businesses just like my own!

I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite online sources and first up is High Street Market. I am obsessed with everything in this shop; there really isn’t anything I wouldn’t want two of and while there are definitely some pricier items, there are a TON of lovely decorative accessories to choose from that are less than $50 and make great gift ideas!  With the holidays weeks away, I highly, highly recommend taking a look at blogger and designer Kelly Robson’s decorative accessories, lighting and vintage selections!  Here are some of the things I’m coveting from her shop, along with quite a few others I’ve sourced for clients or bought as gifts for friends and family myself, many of which I’ve included in previous blog posts, that’s how much I love them!

These glass honeycomb vases are the bees knees!

A marble tray with brass handles will dress up any dinner party and look just as lovely on your countertop when not entertaining!

I’m obsessed with the color of these amethyst agate coasters with gold edging!

This navy Yue double gourd lamp is, hands down, the chicest lamp I think I have seen in a long time.  And how amazing does it look next to a velvet leopard lumbar pillow?

I don’t know what it is about geodes, but I’m crushing on them BIG TIME and this agate platter with gold leaf edging is absolutely stunning!

These brass wheat sheaf sconce candle holders add a beautiful touch to any space and any style decor!

A silver plated fish bottle opener is a great hostess gift!

These bone boxes are beautiful way to store recipe cards, jewelry or pictures.

“Don’t Give Up The Ship” pillow is such a conversation starter and adds a cheeky touch to a sofa or chair.

This silver plated mint julep cup is such a versatile piece – use it for a small bouquet of flowers from the garden, or, as I like to do with mine, hold makeup brushes!

A vintage brass anchor door knocker adds a nautical touch to your front door (and would look amazing on a high gloss black door, might I add!)

To see more goodies from High Street Market, check out their online shop.  Happy hunting!

Kelly, I saw this lamp at Target the other day and stopped in my tracks! I love it and for the price you can't beat it! It looks so much more expensive than it is!!!

Thought I would share another find. Have you seen this sofa from Ikea? http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/S49033805/#/S29033825

Im in Canada, so that's actually the Canadian price. The U.S. price is $599! Reminds me of your sofa!
