HALLOWEEN DECOR, BUT MAKE IT CUTE

It’s still way too early for me to start decorating for Halloween, but if my kiddos had their way, the house would have been ready for the holiday weeks ago. I like to keep the decor simple – black twist taper candles in my grandmother’s silver candlesticks, homemade mummy candle holders the kids made a couple years ago and a few other crafted pieces that I will treasure always. My favorite way to decorate for Halloween, though, is with cardstock bats I made years ago, taped to the wall en masse across our living and dining rooms for dramatic effect. This year, I also bought this set of 100 of these black butterflies for the entryway. We don’t have a lot of extra surface space, so I try to go vertically whenever possible and I think these are such a fun way to decorate without going all gory or scary. For outdoors, I’m loving these terra cotta pumpkins, these floating candle string lights, these lit ghosts, “floating” witches hats. For more Halloween picks, click here.
