GETTING A HEADSTART ON CHRISTMAS

I promise I’m not going to skip out on posting Thanksgiving goodies, but every year, without fail, many Christmas decorations I’ve had my eye on are sold out by the time I try adding to my cart, so I’m rounding up a bevy of beauties I love – some I have and few I want! I was also surprised by how many of you asked for Christmas decor when I asked for blog post ideas back in the end of September, so here you go!

From my capiz shell tree topper and luxe velvet ribbon that just adds the most special touch to simple gift wrap to a beautiful Advent candle wreath, preserved boxwood wreaths (that double as a great hostess gift!) and the must-have accessory for any tree over seven feet tall, you can’t go wrong with any of these simple but stunning pieces. And just a word on the tree stand – it’s worth its weight in GOLD! Last year, our nine foot tree fell over, crushing a few treasured ornaments. A friend recommended this one and it works like magic!

Capiz tree topper / Preserved boxwood wreath / Advent wreath (another less expensive option) / Velvet pillow / Cable knit stocking / Paper mache star tree topper / Taper candles / Brass star garland / Velvet ribbon / Tree collar / Tree stand

Capiz shell tree topper – We found this one a few years ago and it adds a special nautical touch to our tree!

Preserved boxwood wreaths – these look amazing when hung with velvet ribbon but also double as a great hostess gift idea!

Advent wreath – I first saw this beauty on Magpie by Jen Shoop’s blog, but it won’t arrive until almost Christmas. I bought this one for half the price and LOVE it! It’s gold painted iron and is so pretty!

Velvet pillows – Such an easy and inexpensive way to zhush up your living room or bedroom for the holidays!

Cable knit stocking – There’s nothing more cozy than a few of these hung by the fireplace! Also check Target and HomeGoods, both of which seem to have these every year!

Paper mache tree topper – OBSESSED! This is a good one, too!

Taper candles – I love candlelight all year long, but pale powder blue candles in silver add such a chic, festive touch!

Brass star garland – such a beautiful and festive addition to fresh evergreens on a mantle!

Velvet ribbon – such a beautiful way to add a luxe touch to simple Christmas wrapping and also look amazing tied around napkins at the dinner table!

Basket tree collar – my hubby hates this thing with a passion because we always get ginormous trees, so it’s a bit of a pain getting it in the tree stand around the collar, but it’s so worth it because I love the texture!

Tree stand – last year, our nine footer fell over, shattering a few treasured ornaments with it. A friend recommended this tree stand and it’s a game changer for huge trees!

What are you loving for decorating for Christmas this year?
