framed sea fans

I scored these two 27-inch sea fans a while back for $20 a piece, with the intention of dying, framing and hanging them in my master bathroom.  Here we are, months later, and I’m finally getting around to it.  This is a super easy and inexpensive way to add texture and elegance to any space without being too kitschy/beachy.  You can find huge fans every now and then at Home Goods, and Deltona Shells has a great selection, too.  A quick coat of spray paint in your favorite color and you’ve got custom art!  Here are some of my favorite inspiration photos of framed fans.  Be sure to keep an eye open for them on your next trip to Home Goods!

I love how they look framed. Found a few at HG's and have been meaning to do the same think! Can't wait to see yours.

Thanks, Sherry! I've just got to figure out what color I want to paint them, if any!
