designer love: cecy j interiors

It’s not often that a room is designed so well that it literally stops me in my tracks, but when I stumbled upon the dining room below on Pinterest the other day, it did just that!  The planked, vaulted ceiling, the droolworthy navy blue grass cloth and the striking Lindsey Adelman chandelier are as close to perfection as I’ve seen in a long time! It’s super chic and family friendly at the same time, which is a pretty hard aesthetic to nail so well, but designer Cecily Mendell of Cecy J Interiors did just that.  Each and every single image in her portfolio is even more gorgeous than the last and has such a warm, welcoming and cozy feel that is also so elegant and sophisticated at the same time (something anyone with littles strives for!)  Get ready to max out your eye candy quota for the day!

Talk about a warm welcome – the greenery, zinc planters and jute rug are a gorgeous hint of the beauty that is to come inside:

I so love every last detail in this family room, from the built-ins and pale blue sofa sectional to the round coffee table and beautiful pop of navy and powder blue from throw pillows:

I’m in love with all the vaulted, planked ceilings and the charcoal built-ins, brass sconces and muted color palette are soft and cozy compliments:

A striped rug and fabulous lighting amp up the chic factor in this light and bright farmhouse living room:

A beautiful gallery wall above a wet bar:

Love the simple texture in this dining area; wood beams, a gold chandelier and woven dining chairs add so much warmth and interest:

Throw pillows are my favorite way to add a pop of color and pattern; here they add a fun, fresh vibe:

A kid-friendly space that is also super stylish (something every one of us with kiddos can attest to wanting!):

A soothing, neutral bedroom (with more planked ceilings!):

Happy Thursday!

I love the family room with the pale blue sectional. Do you know where I could find the sectional? Do you know the paint color used in this space? Thanks.
