charleston fix

I know I shouldn’t complain about all this rainy, gray gloominess when a lot of you are stuck under piles of snow, but seriously…the lack of sun is starting to make me a little crazy!  I’ve been dreaming of a quick weekend getaway to Charleston lately and think it would do wonders for my mood, but since they are experiencing a lot of the same weather as we are here, sifting through photos from previous trips will just have to do for now.  (Thankfully, I go overboard with the camera every. single. trip.) I’ve posted a lot of these images before, but I thought we could all benefit from seeing them again right about now – window boxes spilling over with beautiful blooms, glossy black front doors, emerald green foliage as far as the eye can see, moss covered oak trees….just sound perfect to me right about now!  Nothing beats Spring in the Holy City!  And if nothing else, it’ll definitely get the wheels turning for planning your Spring garden:

Sigh. I'm right there with you. Especially this morning when we're being pelted with snow. We always go away for a few days in May every year. As usual, Charleston is on the short list. We have such wonderful memories from a trip we took a few years ago. I was thisclose to going to college of charleston for school and a small part of me always regrets not going. Aaaanyway, lovely photos. I can't even imagine a world so green and warm right now 🙂

Kate – I hope Charleston is at the very top of your shortlist because you absolutely MUST go! It's not too terribly far from GA! Hope you're staying warm this am and enjoying all the white!
