a summer saltbox by lisa tharp

Coming off of a fabulous long weekend bright and early this morning and heading back into reality makes me wish I drank coffee.  Since my head is still in weekend mode, I thought I’d share some fabulous eye candy by Lisa Tharp Design to celebrate a short week!  I’ve been a fan of Lisa’s work for a while now (you can read my original post from years ago here), so I was thrilled to see she’s updated her portfolio with an incredible renovated saltbox in New England. Seriously, it’s BANANAS!  From the neutral color palette, tons of texture and stunning lighting to the pops of navy blue and built-in window seats and beds, every nook and cranny is absolute perfection:

All the built-in seating and alcoves are perfect for curling up with a summer read, not to mention sleeping all the extra guests:

Fresh greens are a great way to add a pop of color to a neutral space, but that rope wrapped console is what’s got my eye in this sitting area:

A few hits of black anchor an otherwise neutral vignette:

Cedar shakes still make me weak in the knees:

Teak countertops, a La Cornue range and those fabulous bar stools take center stage in the all-white kitchen:

I love the mix in the dining room – all that natural light is such a beautiful backdrop for the antique dining table, an insane chandelier and linen wingback chairs.  The white sconces from Dunes and Duchess are so, so chic, too!

Brass fixtures and boardwalk planks salvaged from Coney Island in the connected indoor/outdoor baths:

Just a peek of gorgeous, caramel toned grass cloth:

Lockers and nautical-inspired sconces in the mudroom and a breathtaking all-white screened-in porch, perfect for entertaining and relaxing after days spent at the beach!

Texture reigns supreme in the kid’s lounge area.  I love, love, LOVE the wicker settee:

I’m swooning over the navy grass cloth and burlap covered end tables in the master bedroom; I’d never leave this room:
